Mission 2024

Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

As you may know, I have been blessed to have followed the Lord’s calling into the mission fields of Uganda on five (different) occasions since 2016 and will be returning to Uganda twice this year. My first trip is scheduled for April 18 – May 2. I will again be traveling with Embrace Uganda out of Wake Forest, NC – a team of only two (2) people. However, I know from experience that the Lord can do great things with small numbers.

During our time there, we will be working at the new medical clinic in Koreng to assist the staff with their accounting system. We will visit with the students at the Secondary school that is also fairly new. And we hope to be able to send the funding ahead of our trip in order to see the roof for the school completed. Funding is also needed to provide a medical clinic for over 1,000 children and babies ages 1 to 5 years old who will receive care while we are there.

In Kaihura, the mommas at the Baby House are in need of baby supplies and toys to improve the lives of the orphans that they care for. We plan to travel with as many supplies as possible. There is also a need for a new computer for the administrative office at the orphanage. My companion and I also hope to witness to the many women in Kaihura about the amazing God we serve. School supplies are also needed there, and we will try to travel with as much as we can fit in our checked bags.

Not everyone has the time nor the calling to work in the mission fields, but everyone has a part to play. My calling to serve in Uganda has afforded me the opportunity to embrace the babies who were once left with no hope, but found hope and love at the orphanage I will visit. I have also witnessed how the Lord multiplies the supplies and the funds that we travel with to meet the needs in the villages that we serve. However, none of what I do would be possible without the help and generous monetary and non- monetary donations of supporters like you at home in the U.S.

As I prepare to go in April, please prayerfully consider how the Lord wants you to help meet the needs of the children and elders in Koreng and Kaihura. No matter how much or how little that you are moved to give, we trust that the Lord will supply every need according to His riches in glory.
